But I digress. I am not savvy enough to interpret the "visitor stats", at least not from this web hosting agency (I-power) to be able to see how many visitors I have to this site. It would be nice if the agency would just report, in plain English, "You had x number of visits today", and do it daily. The only thing I have is a meaningless chart, that shows the traffic I had in January, of all things, and that chart is expressed in hits, files, pages, and visits, that I'm sure a hacker would have no trouble understanding but which I do not. Moreover, I am not disposed to spend any more of the time I do have learning the intricacies of web hosting.
What I would really like to know is whether anyone but me is reading anything I write here. If all I am doing is reading my own words, I might as well stop right now, because I already know what I think. If any of you who read this (and I am beginning to suspect there are not many) would leave me some kind, any kind, of comment, I would appreciate it. I know I am not expert enough to provide you with any advice on writing, but there are always provocative subjects that can be kicked around, and I would like to do that, but I don't want to play by myself here any more than I want to on the golf course. Many say blogging is good for aspiring writers because it makes them practice their craft, and I believe this, but rereading my own thoughts is getting boring.
