Well, my novel is rewritten, edited, and polished to the best of my ability. I have written both a query letter and a synopsis, both of which were difficult, but in retrospect, very interesting projects in their own right. I have developed this site, tweeted on Twitter, and, according to the writings of both experts and agents, set the stage for success. I am going to query it slowly, just a handful of agents at a time. I have researched them as thoroughly as I can without actually meeting and talking to them. The only question now is whether any of them will want to read beyond the queries? All I can do now is hope -- and start another book. I will tell you all now -- the fun of being a novelist is in the writing; not the promotion.
